“The sum of the
whole is this:
walk and be happy;
walk and be healthy.
The best way to lengthen out our days is to walk steadily and with a purpose.”

C. Dickens

Walk the Loop for Children’s Centres with picnics, treasure hunts, our own Children’s Centre “flame” and other related activities and events.

When and where?
Stretches of the London Loop (Outer Orbital Path) and at Children’s Centres situated nearby.

1st September - 31st December 2012: from Cockfosters to Purfleet

1st January - 31st May 2013: from Erith to Kingston

1st June -31st October 2013: from Kingston to Cockfosters

To celebrate, promote and support the work of Children’s Centres at a time of transition and change. All are welcome to join in and take as small or long a step on the way as suits best!

Related Aims:
- to embody the values of hope and cooperation that are at the heart of children’s centres;
- to remind us of the sense of peace and well-being we can find regardless of where we come from or who we are thanks to exercise, nature and fresh air;
- to promote a healthy lifestyle through pleasurable, sustained exercise;
- to offer families with young children quality time as they engage in activities that encourage curiosity, a sense of play and a joy of learning.
